Exciting Home Opener against Lincoln College

ELSAH, ILL. -- The Principia Women had more than several season bests, unshaved lifetime bests and a life time best, however this would not be enough as the women lost to Lincoln College 103 - 50.
 
The meet began with a blistering 200 medley relay where freshman Dani McKenzi and senior captain Laura Perry both swam season bests. McKenzi had a season best 50 butterfly split with a time of 28.57, while Perry had a season best 50 freestyle split with a 33.30. The 200 medley relay also saw senior Jenna Mehlenbacher swim a life time best 50 breast split with a time of 35.05. Junior Catherine Joyner continued the success for the women into the 200 freestyle by swimming a lifetime best with a finishing time of 2:47.84. Perry and Mehlenbacher continued a successful day in the 50 freestyle, Mehlenbacher won with a finishing time of 26.80 and Perry swam a season best time of 34.49. Sophomore Jessica Neal also had a season best swim in the 50 freestyle with a time of 35.93. Neal added to her success in the 100 backstroke where she swam am unshaved lifetime best time of 1:28.47
                  
The Principia Women had a wonderful day of swimming, and look to continue their success on Saturday, November 10th at 1:00pm against the women of Monmouth College in Monmouth Il.
