The Facility

The softball field is the competition site for the Principia softball team. The entire field was completely redone in 2010; the infield was laser-graded, grass was laid down in the outfield, a new 6' high chain-link outfield fence was put up, and treated wood and chain-link team dugouts were constructed. The field has a 6' wide warning track, 10' high foul poles, 20' high backstop, electronic scoreboard, and bleachers. It now has batting cages behind the right center field fence and bullpen areas past the dugouts on the first and third base sides. Recently high-powered lights were installed on the field which makes it easier to host night games in the spring.

Field Dimensions:
    - 200 feet down the right field line
    - 225 feet to center
    - 200 feet down the left field line

Please Note – During 4:30-6:30pm, all students and athletes of Principia will have priority usage of the athletic facilities. We apologize for any inconveniences this may cause.
