The Principia Men's Tennis Team traveled to Greencastle, Indiana to play against DePauw University and Ohio Wesleyan University.
The DePauw Tigers, ranked 8
th in the Central region, played solid, consistent tennis. They did not allow the Principia men to gain any momentum even though they were playing well and working hard. After almost three hours of spirited play the Principia team had lost 9-0 to the Tigers.
After a short break and watching the Principia Women's team defeat Ohio Wesleyan 7-2, the men's team followed suit. After over four hours of competition they also had defeated Ohio Wesleyan 7-2. Principia's number two doubles team,

Nate Waters immediately took control and easily won 8-1. The number one team,

Jason Wissman started slowly, and fell behind quickly. But they stayed close until there was an opening and managed to break serve twice to win 9-7. The number three team of

Aaron Switzer was ahead 5-2 when they lost their steam and allowed the Ohio team to catch up, and then lost the match 8-6.
In the singles competition the Principia men won five of the six contests. Wissman and Waters each won their matches easily. Sander played a great combination of defense and offense to defeat a hard hitting opponent. Rohrer lost a very close long three set match; and Drake and Switzer both won three set matches.
