ELSAH, ILL. - Principia's Rugby team, the Thunder Chickens, have been working tirelessly this whole semester in preperation for the Gateway 7s Conference tournament. The Thunder Chickens are regularly seen throughout each week at 6:00 am in Crafton, loud, proud and working hard! They know the work that it takes to defend a National title in 7s rugby. This weekend, they are competing in rain, snow or sunshine...whatever comes their way. To fully prepare for that, the Thunder Chickens have also spent some time outside on the field in the not-so perfect conditions. Freezing weather, a snowy field...you name it...they practiced in it!
The Gateway 7s Championship is held at Rolla, MO, and the winner has a chance of going to the USA Rugby 7s National Championship. Stay tuned as results will be posted on the outcome of today's conference championship.
