Principia then fell behind in the third, giving the Gorlocks 14 runs. The Panthers played solid defense and also had good pitching, but struggled to hit after the first inning and were unable to recover from the third.

Game 2: 8-0
In game two, the Panthers held the Gorloks at one run per inning for the first two innings, but then gave up four more runs in the third inning. The Gorloks' offense was consistent, they continued to put balls into play throughout the game, and when that happens there isn't much you can do other than play good defense-- which is what the Panthers did. Principia also put balls into play and were able to get people on base, but they were not able to convert those hits into runs.
AC McMullen,
Noelle Shoemake and
Tori Cheatham each got a hit
The Panthers will be back in action at home this Thursday at 6:00 and 8:00 pm against Blackburn College- come out to the softball field to support the team!
