The Principia College eSport Program has two Hearthstone teams in the same tournament. The Principia Hearthstone A team played against Ohio State University while the Principia B team played against Indiana University.

The A team had an amazing come from behind victory in a best of 5 series. The series went as showed:

Game 1 Mage vs. Warrior                    Loss
Game 2 Mage vs. Shaman                  Loss
Game 3 Rogue vs. Warlock                 Win
Game 4 Druid vs. Warlock                   Win
Game 5 Mage vs. Warlock                  Win

The must win match started off by a decision to have captain Cody Veidelis sit out the match so freshmen Sammy Keyes could play as the sub. "We wanted to have a solid Mage deck and we know it will be a pivotal deck tonight and Sammy is the best Mage player on campus, so we had to go with our best" says Cody on the decision to bench himself. Cody's decision looked to be a poor one as Team A lost the first two games with the Mage Deck. Senior Cedar Brumm took the stage and kept Team A in the fight winning with both his Rogue and Druid Decks shifting the tide to Team As favor and tying the match 2-2. The final game was about to start and the team decided to give the Mage deck and Sammy a chance at redemption, and he did not disappoint easily handling Ohio's Warlock showing why he is the best at Mage on Campus. This gutsy decision paid off since this win keeps Team A in the running. Team A must win next week's match to advance to the regional Playoffs.

The B team had a rough go against Indiana University in the best of 5 series. The series went as showed:

Game 1 Shaman vs. Shaman               Loss
Game 2 Shaman vs. Warlock               Loss
Game 3 Shaman vs. Druid                   Loss

Team B came into the match light hearted as they had two matches left and only needed to win one to advance to the Regional Playoffs. The match started off with a quick loss in game one with freshman Michael Coburn at the helm. Team B was not getting any of the cards that they needed to gain traction in the match. The poor luck on draws continued through the next two games with freshman Mitchel Coburn resulting in a quick match losing 3-0. This makes the game next week a must win for Team B to advance to the Regional Playoffs.
