Principia rugby takes third in conference 7s

Carbondale, ILL. – The Principia Thunder Chickens fought hard in their conference tournament Saturday April 8th, but fell short to Saint Louis University in the semi-finals of the tournament.

Principia started out the tournament with two wins, against University of Central Missouri 33-15 and Maryville University 45-0, advancing to the semifinals of the tournament. Saint Louis University defeated Principia 21-31 placing Principia third in the Gateway conference.
    
The Thunder Chickens will have another opportunity to qualify for 7s Nationals on April 22nd in Winnona, MN.
