Tuesday 10/2 - Elsah, ILL. -- Principia Hearthstone almost completed the reverse sweep against Indiana Tech in their season opening match.
Inside the Match:
Though the match ultimately ended in a loss, Principia's Hearthstone team (
Trent Easton,
Michael Coburn,
Ethan Capp) exemplified presence of mind and focus in their match against Indiana Tech this past week. It was excellent competition, with both teams playing well and with a controlled pace. Though Principia dropped the first two games of the best of three, they battled back and took games 3 and 4 leaving the match score at a tied 2-2 with one make or break game left. Principia played its hand to the best of their ability but wasn't quite able to carry their momentum through, and Indiana Tech ended up taking home the win 3-2.

"Given the hand we were dealt I think we played very well, even though it was a loss, this was a great way to start the season because it showed us that we can definitely come back from any deficit, no matter how large. We are completely capable of that. " -
