Principia Hearthstone narrowly falls to Wilfrid Laurier University

Tuesday 10/30 - Elsah, IL. -- Principia Hearthstone struggled in some of their most difficult games of the season, and couldn't quite put the pieces together in time for the comeback against Wilfrid Laurier, dropping the series 1-3.

Inside the Match:
Up against a dramatically different strategy than last week's matchup, Principia was forced to switch away from their dominating aggressive approach, to a slower and much more difficult style. Though the first two games left the teams sitting at 1-1 in what was looking like a close match, Principia committed some uncharacteristic errors down the stretch and struggled to execute their gameplan. The team will be looking to reevaluate their approach, and focus more on their preparation heading into next week.

They said it:
"It's unsettling, and a little funny that we always struggle with teams from Canada. It's like they're our kryptonite. This loss hurts because of how it impacts our playoffs hopes, but we're definitely anxious and excited to improve how to play and pilot this slower style of deck. "
