Sunday 10/28 - Elsah, IL. -- Principia Overwatch took down Appalachian State in a close 2-1 series, but fell 0-2 to a monstrous Cal Berkeley team.
Inside the Match:
Appalachian State proved to be an excellent matchup for Prin's Overwatch team, with similarly skilled players and a diverse set of strategic approaches. The Panthers rolled through the first game, making it look like the series would be a brief one. However, App State was able to rally and bring the series score to 1-1 over a dominant second game. Backs against the wall and emotions high, Prin was able to rally and grab the third game, sealing the series at 2-1 and securing the victory.
The match against Cal Berkeley was short and to the point. Cal displayed an incredible level of skill and precise execution, cutting through Principia in a quick 2-0. Though matches against higher ranked teams are often quick, they do provide valuable information and experience for the team that falls short.
