Elsah, Ill -- The Principia Men's Tennis Team closed out their regular season with a tri match against Fontbonne and Webster University today. The Panthers opened up at 9:00 am against Fontbonne, and took it to them early and often. The Panthers had little trouble dispatching Fontbonne in doubles and kept their momentum into their singles matches. Principia defeated Fontbonne 9-0. In the second match of the day, Principia took on Webster at 4:00 PM. Despite the long layoff, Principia came out firing on all cylinders in doubles, as they did not lose a single game. From there, Principia dominated all six singles matches, culminating with a 9-0 win over Webster. Principia was 18-0 on the day and played some solid tennis in front of some big crowds at the Hexberg Indoor Tennis Facility. Despite not having any Seniors, Principia had some great parent and family support on this Parent's Weekend.

The Panthers now move to 11-6 overall and 4-0 in SLIAC play. Principia has completed their SLIAC regular season and is looking forward to playing their best tennis in the upcoming week.
Up Next:
Principia next plays on Friday and Saturday in the SLIAC Men's Tennis Championships. They have earned the 1st seed and will play the semifinals at 2:00 PM in St. Louis at Dwight Davis on Friday, April 20th. The SLIAC Championship will be played on Saturday, April 21st at 11:00 AM at Dwight Davis.
