Sunday 9/24 - Elsah, IL. -- Principia Overwatch took home its first victory of the season in its double header fall debut against University of Houston's premier and secondary teams.
Inside the Match:
In the first game against University of Houston Red, U of H's secondary team, the Panthers came out swinging. Houston was unable to catch their breath after a strong start from Principia and quickly lost the first game. However, down 0-1 with their backs against the wall facing an 0-2 shut out Houston came online and snatched the second game from Principia's hands leaving the best of three series tied 1-1. Though the Panthers had let their overconfidence get the best of them, the team focused in and shut down U of Houston in a decisive final game sealing the series 2-1 in favor of Principia.
Principia's second game against Houston's premier team, a top 10 team in the league, went quickly. Prin fell in a quick 0-2 and got a preview of what the highest level of competitive collegiate play looks like.
