The women's tennis team lose to DePauw Tigers in the first match of the day 8-1. The Tigers swept the doubles but were not able to pull off a clean sweep of all the singles. Principia's #1 singles player,
Paige Cooley, hit big shots and pounced on short balls as she scratched out a domineering win: 6-3, 6-1. Paige pounded her forehand for winners and threw in several aces up the middle. She also moved well and
played great defense. The rest of the team made progress in their own games but were unable to pull out wins.
In the second match of the day the Panthers lost to the Indiana Wesleyan by the same score, 8-1. Principia #1 singles again dominated play and forced her opponent into errors. She was forceful with her groundstrokes and made few errors. All the other players on the team competed well.
