Panthers dominate Lady Blues from Illinois College

Elsah, Il—

The Principia  women's tennis team had a tough match today against Illinois college. Windy conditions  made for a difficult adjustments but the panthers still finished strong in both singles and doubles. With a final score of   7-2 the team demonstrated their fierceness and resilience. Paige Cooley, #1 singles and doubles, played with precision today. Her serves were unmatched. Paige said, that "Even though it was windy today I still felt like I had good practice changing up my game to match the weather element. I felt good about moving into the net and closing out points. My doubles partner and I (Gabby Kitchingman) had a great match today and worked well communicating how to finish each point strong."

Principia won second doubles without dropping a game.  At 3rd doubles, the team played well but couldn't overcome the 7-2 deficit. They won 4 straight games and had a point to tie at 7-7 but fell short 8-6.   In singles the team played well in preparation for tomorrow's conference match against Webster.
