SLIAC Men's Basketball All-Decade Team (2010-19)
The St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference is proud to announce its All-Decade team, from 2010-19, for men's basketball. Selections were made using a system that awarded points based on All-Conference selections. In addition, any player receiving the Player of the Year award during a season earned a selection. Coaches were picked based on Coach of the Year awards won during the time span.
SLIAC Men's Basketball All-Decade Team (2010-19)
Coach Charlie Bunch, Webster University
Head Coach Chris Bunch led the Gorloks to three SLIAC regular season titles, and won Coach of the Year three times during the past decade with tournament titles in 2011, 2014, and 2020.
Coach Kevin Gray, Spalding University
Spalding arrived to the SLIAC in 2009 and it took just one season before head coach Kevin Gray led the Golden Eagles to a share of a regular-season title. Gray would go on to win three SLIAC Coach of the Year awards during the decade including two trips to the NCAA Tournament.
Dakota Bennington, Eureka College
Dakota Bennington joined the Red Devil program as a sophomore and promptly earned All-Conference honors. He would go on to be named All-Conference three times in his career including two First Team selections; leading the conference in scoring his senior season with 24.8 points per game average.
Jametrius Brasher, Spalding University
Key member of the Golden Eagles, winning two regular-season titles. He earned three All-Conference nods including a First Team selection in 2012.
Shea Feehan, Eureka College
One of the top scorers to step on the court in the SLIAC was a three-time All-Conference pick, twice earning First Team honors. Feehan led the league in scoring twice and is the conference's all-time scoring average leader at 27.1 points per game.
Karson Hayes, Blackburn College
Hayes became just the fourth Beaver in program history to earn three All-Conference selections. He was a First Team choice in each of his final two seasons and helped the program to three straight SLIAC tournament trips, the first time the program accomplished that feat in nearly 15 years.
Deavis Johnson, MacMurray College
The athletic forward was a two-time All-Conference player and was named the SLIAC Player of the Year as a senior when he averaged 16.1 points and 10.5 rebounds per game; earning All-American honors.
Josh Johnson, Webster University
Emerged as an All-Conference player in his final two seasons, was named the SLIAC Player of the Year as a senior when he averaged 18.6 points per game while finishing his career 4th in the SLIAC in free-throw percentage.
Mark Lessen, Eureka College
A two-time All-Conference pick was named the SLIAC Player of the Year in 2012-13 when he also earned All-American honors.
Brent Long, MacMurray College
A three-time All-Conference forward, earning First Team honors twice, finished his career in the top ten in the SLIAC in career points, field goals made, and rebounds.
DeWhon McAfee, Spalding University
The first Golden Eagle to earn All-Conference honors, earned two First Team selections and was the SLIAC Player of the Year in 2011 when he helped Spalding to a share of the regular-season titl
Micah Paulson, Principia College
A pure scorer, Paulson earned All-Conference honors three times during his career including a First Team nod as a senior when he was the SLIAC Player of the Year. Finished his career 10th in the SLIAC in career scoring.
Roman Robinson, Webster University
A two-time First Team All-Conference pick, Robinson averaged 13.6 points per game during his two-year Gorlok career.
Brady Slagle, MacMurray College
The first of three straight Highlanders to be named SLIAC Player of the Year, Slagle was a two-time All-Conference pick.
Ahmad Smith, Webster University
Named All-Conference three times during his career, including two First Team selections.
Steven Soukup, Iowa Wesleyan University
Played just one season in the SLIAC but made it a memorable one, earning Player of the Year honors after averaging 26.4 points per game that season including a SLIAC single-season record 714 points.
Romo Tabb, Westminster College
A consistent player throughout his Blue Jay career, earned All-Conference honors three times including a First Team selection in 2017.
Clayton Whitlock, MacMurray College
A three-time All-Conference player and a former SLIAC Player of the Year he was an All-American pick in 2015. He ranks 4th in the SLIAC in career field goal percentage.
Stefan Whittingham, Webster University
In 2012 he became Webster's first All-American in a decade after earning SLIAC Player of the Year honors when he averaged 15.5 points and 8.2 rebounds per game.
