Game 1:
Today, in their second set of games this season, Principia College Softball lost a tough game to Crowley's Ridge College 16-6. The Panthers fought had throughout the whole game, even putting up 4 runs in their last inning, with the bottom of the batting order having a great offensive first game.
Principia Top Performers:
Senior
Nikki Matters went 3/3 at bat in the first game, freshman Heather
Savoye went 1/2 but drove in a team leading 3 RBIs, and freshman
Gracie Paul went 2/3. Junior pitcher Alyssa
Hudenburg finished the game with 3 strikeouts.
Game 2:
The Panthers started out strong for game two of the double header, having the game tied at 2-2 after the first inning as a result of senior
Hannah Hathaway's two run homer in. However, back to back 5 & 6 run innings from Crowley's Ridge put the game out of reach for the Panthers. Even with Principia putting up two more runs in the third inning the game finished 13-4 with Crowley's Ridge.

Hannah Hathaway went 3/3 with a homerun and 2 RBIs,
Lauren Daugherty went 2/3.
Up Next:
Principia Softball will be traveling to Myrtle Beach, SC. over spring break this next week. Their first game is against Mt. Aloysius College at 9:30am March 16th.
