JACKSONVILLE, IL - The Principia Women's Tennis team traveled north to Illinois College on a snowy Friday and played their matches on the center of the indoor track where removable courts were laid out. The backdrops were the walls beyond the track lanes.
The Panthers adjusted well to the different surface and were able to pull off several lopsided wins. Principia's #1 doubles team, Camila Gomez, did not drop a game in singles or doubles. Veronica Volkart, Gomez's doubles partner, only dropped one game in her #4 singles match. Kelsie Huss at #3 singles swept her match 6-0, 6-0.
Up Next: The team returned to their winning ways in time for conference play this coming week. It is a big week for women's tennis as they face our tough conference rivals on Tuesday and Thursday this week at home. Come out and support the team on the outdoor courts!
