ELSAH, IL – The Panthers men's tennis team hosted Simpson College and Wabash College in a tri-match on Saturday in Hexberg Tennis Center.
The morning began with Principia defeated Simpson 7-0 as the Panthers won all three doubles and did not drop a set in any singles match. Notably,
Alfredo Boly got his first collegiate wins in doubles and singles and did not lose a game in his #6 singles match.
Wabash boasts a strong lineup and gave the Panthers trouble in their afternoon match as Principia was unable to win any matches.
Jesús Soto Bossa and
Ernesto Botero had the team's strongest showings in singles at #1 and #3, but Wabash proved too tough to overcome.
Principia's record moves to 2-1 on the young season, and the team will have another home tri-match this coming Friday against Earlham College and Illinois College, beginning at 2:00 pm in Hexberg.
