Biography

Senior Year (2012)
Courtney will co-captain the team this year. Stepping into the captain role requires Courtney to express her leadership qualities by encouraging fellow team members to be their best and to push themselves to new heights. Expectations are high for Courtney as she will be playing #4 singles this year. In her junior year, Courtney became a more offensive player and this year she will work to increase her power on her serves and strokes and improve her shot selection. Courtney welcomes challenges on and off the court and she handles them with grace and grit.  From her experience last year at the NCAA Regional Championships Courtney comes into this season
with more confidence in her strokes and with increased confidence in her mental attitude.  Courtney is excited to captain this team which works hard on the court while having fun.

Junior Year (2011)
Courtney spent this past summer on the Mongolia abroad.  When she returned from her travels abroad she worked at Adventure Unlimited in Colorado.  Courtney will play #5  singles and #2 doubles this year. She is working to make her game more aggressive and to control points and move her opponents around the court.  Courtney is one of the teams' fiercest competitors. Although she has another demanding academic schedule this year, she assures the team and coach that she is ready to play a strong role in helping the team win the SLIAC conference championship

Sophomore Year (2010)
Courtney's sophomore year is sure to be a success. Over the summer she played a lot of tennis and worked at a tennis club back at home in Washington. During the fall season, Courtney saw a lot of improvement in her technique as well as in her strategic play. She did an excellent job of balancing tennis with a rigorous course schedule.  While she won't be playing basketball in the winter, we will miss her while she joins the Hawaii field program for an eight week study program that is sure to be warm and sunny.  We look forward to having Courtney back with us as we travel to Hilton Head for Spring break.

Freshman Year (2009)
Courtney joins us with good high school tennis experience and a great team attitude. We look for Courtney to be in the starting line-up in some capacity. We will miss Courtney during the winter due to basketball, but know she will come to tennis in great shape.
