Senior Year (2012 – 2013)
Andy returns as a veteran of three previous swimming seasons. Andy competes in the sprint freestyle, the individual medleys, the 100 yard backstroke and butterfly events. Andy is competitive in everything he does, from practice to races. This competitive work ethic is made apparent on the Principia Top Ten records where Andy currently holds 2nd in the 100 and 200 yard butterfly events. Outside of the water, Andy contributes to the team by exuding a professional attitude and routinely sharing metaphysical insights. In his final season, we look forward towards Andy exuding these qualities, as in previous seasons, and also inspiring others to follow in his path.

Sophomore Year (2010-2011)
Andy Furbush is returning for his second season. Last year, he placed well in his first season of collegiate swimming making the top ten in three individual events last year: the 100 yard Butterfly (53.83), the 200 yard Butterfly (2:03.22), and the 200 yard Individual Medley (2:02.68). He also was a part of a relay that last year made top ten in three relays and set a school record in the 200 yard free relay, 1:29.05. Andy brings a great work ethic, and an enthusiasm for swimming and the team. We look forward to see more records broken and improvement in Andy’s swimming.

Freshman Year (2009-2010)
Andy joins us as a freshman from DesMoines, IA in his 13th year of competitive swimming. He brings with him a solid work ethic, an enthusiasm for the sport and the team, and certainly incredible speed. His favorite events are the 100 fly and 200 IM, both of which we will see Andy excel in. Early on, we will see Andy put his name on the top ten in the fly events, and be a integral part of the men's freestyle and medley relays.
