2015 Season (Senior Year)
Jessy will be anchoring our defense at the SS position.  She has great range, soft hands and a strong accurate arm.  Look for Jessy to be in the middle of our order to take advantage of the power she has that will be driving in runs for us.  This will also be Jessy’s second year as a team captain and this team will be leaning on her to provide the example they need.  No one has more fun on the field than Jessy but don’t let that fool you into thinking she isn’t focused and striving to play great.

2014 Season (Junior Year)
After missing the last 2 season Jessy is back and is the team ever happy to see her.  She will see time behind the plate and also in the infield.  Jessy is really versatile and can play several positions as she has great range, good hands and a strong arm.  Her smooth swing should provide lots of offense for her team.

1.)  When did you start playing softball and why?

I started playing baseball in kindergarten because a friend asked me to join a team with her. I developed a love for baseball that grew each year I played. I stuck with baseball for 9 years and switched to softball in high school. After playing 2 years of softball in high school I decided I wanted to play at Principia College. I am so grateful for the opportunity to be a part of this wonderful team. 

2.)  What do you love most about playing softball?

I love my coaches and teammates. I love diving and getting dirty as a runner or defender. I also love that softball teaches you that you can succeed by learning from mistakes. To be successful at the game you must be focused and persistent. I am very grateful for the life lessons I have learned in softball.
