Junior (2014)
Shontee Pant is from the great city of Dallas, Texas. She is a junior and is double majoring in Political Science and History. Possible nicknames primarily include Shonts and Tay-Shawn. She began running freshman year of college and loves the Prin Cross team. Shontee has a talent for subtle yet judgmental looks which has both come in handy and gotten her in trouble at times. If Shontee were a food, she would be a muffin because she has an obsession with muffins and wouldn't want to be any other food other than her favorite food. She is most excited for all the great races, trips, progress, and memories with the team that are sure to come!

Shontee is from Coppell, Texas and this will be her second year running cross-country. She's a sophomore majoring in political science and history with a focus on domestic policy and US- foreign relations respectively. Shontee is very excited to be back running with such an amazing group of teammates and coaches!

Freshman Year (2012)
Shontee Pant, Freshman, is in her first season of Cross Country and is excited to be with such an amazing team. Shontee attended high school in Coppell, Texas and is the first in her family to attend Principia College. She is looking forward to a challenging yet rewarding season!  Shontee is currently planning to pursue a double major in Political Science and Business.

1.) When did you start running Cross Country and why?
I started in middle school when my mom paid me to run around the block-she said I needed exercise. But then I started running so much I felt bad that I was making money off of it so I told her she didn’t have to pay me anymore. But I actually didn’t run cross until college. The summer before freshman year I thought “hey, maybe I should run cross!” Well, the idea stuck because 9 seasons later I’m still here and I love it!

2.) What do you love most about running Cross Country?
I love running cross because of the people on the team. It’s been pretty special to spend so much of my time in college running, traveling, and racing with a remarkable set of inspiring runners and coaches.

3.)  What's your favorite......

Movie?  JAMES BOND!!
TV Show?  I don’t really watch TV...but maybe Chopped? I love all food shows. I used to watch The Big Bang Theory and Modern Family. Arrested Development and House of Cards are also favorites!
Food?  Pizza! And all brunch foods; brunch is the best.
Restaurant?  Hmm...where I grew up I really like La Madeline (French bakery) because I’ve been going there since I was tiny. Here I really like Dewey’s, Rooster, The Whole Scoop, Spoon, Crepes Etc...
Hobbies?  Eating. And cooking. And being outside. I also really like reading and recently have really been interested in books about how people think.
Pro Athlete?  Don’t get me wrong, I love watching pro sports, especially the Olympics. However, if I’m being honest, my favorite athlete is my sister.
Dream Job?  I can’t say I have just one. But I think that in every job that I have I want to know that I’m doing something that is worthwhile not only to myself, but to others.
