Biography
Senior Year (2016)
Gavin Goodsell is a senior looking forward to the final cross country season of his college career. Gavin started running four years ago as a senior in high school. Ever since, he has loved to run and it has become a major part of his life. Gavin is also a computer science major at Principia and is pursuing a minor is his passion, sustainability, as well as mathematics. He is very excited for the final season!
Sophomore Year (2014)
Gavin is sophomore at Principia this year and is very excited to continue his collegiate cross country career. He started running cross country his senior year of high school and made it onto the varsity team. After doing reasonably well last season, Gavin wants to continue to improve and become more competitive this season. Academically, he is interested in computer science and engineering.
Freshman Year (2103)
Gavin is freshman at Principia this year and is very excited to begin his collegiate cross-country career. He started running cross-country his senior year of high school and made it onto the varsity team. Although relatively new to running cross-country, Gavin expects to continue his growth as a runner and to further his love for running. Academically, he is interested in computer science, environmental science, and economics. Both of Gavin’s parents and sister attended Principia College.
1.) When did you start running Cross Country and why?
I started senior year of high school because I had always wondered, since middle school, what running long distance was like.
2.) What do you love most about running Cross Country?
I like the simple elegance of running. Running is very freeing!
