Sophomore Year (2015)
Lily was such a joy to have on our team last year, and we are thrilled to have her return this year. Lily is a competitor and wants nothing more than to be exceptional at everything she does. Lily expects to improve on last year and earn a place as one of the top six singles players.  She has a strong serve and plays a forceful style often closing out points at the net.  This year Lily will contribute her contagious laughter and perseverance to lift the team to new heights.

Freshman Year (2014)
Lily brings her competitive spirit and strong work ethic to our tennis team. Her first sport is volleyball so she loves the volleyball aspects of tennis. She has a strong serve and volley and likes to play up at net where she can “spike” her volleys and overheads. Lily played four years of high school tennis as well as volleyball and made it to the Idaho state championships three years in a row.  As a senior she won the district championships. She will work to improve her footwork and reaction times, as well as to strengthen her mental game and test her tennis IQ at the college level. Lily brings her positive, joyful, and playful spirit to the team and is always cheering and supporting her teammates. 

1.)     When did you start playing tennis and why?
I first started playing tennis in the 8th grade because there was a clinic available during the winter months and I wanted to learn a family sport and stay active. 

2.)  What do you love most about playing tennis?
What I love most about playing tennis is how dynamic it is and how so much power and finesse at the same time can be put on a little fuzzy yellow ball.
