2016-17 Season
Shelby Barner is one of the few seniors on the Principia College swim team this year. She is from Centennial, Colorado and loves to swim the 50 Free, 100 Free, and 100 Breaststroke. This will be her fourth year on the team and her second year serving as captain. Shelby has been swimming all her life. She started as a little nugget on a neighborhood swim team where she then joined the high school team and continued on to college. She has made the Top 10 list on a few of the relays and the 50 Free. She is hoping this year to make it on the Top 10 list for the 100 Breaststroke because she was about a 10th of a second away from making it last season. She is also really excited to see the growth and achievements of the other team members. She loves supporting and challenging others in their demonstration and practice.
