Biography

Senior Year (2016-2017)
Another Ohio man, Andrew is the sole senior of the men’s team. Warmly regarded as “Kratz,” Andrew will assume the role as team captain and help motivate the men toward defending the conference title. Andrew is the master of the lob, and will likely find opportunity to use it against his teammates to keep them sharp, and to also take our D3 opponents by surprise. 

Junior Year (2015-2016)
Andrew, who is affectionately know as "Kratz," has rejoined the team after spending last semester abroad in Argentina.  Andrew brings a strong supportive spirit and spiritually-minded encouragement to the team.  Kratz has a distinctly unique tennis game, constantly catching the best players on the team totally off guard, and making him a valuable part of this year's team.

Freshman Year (2013-2014)
Andrew is a freshman this season for the Principia Men's Tennis Team. Andrew started playing competitive tennis in high school, and has continually improved since he arrived here in the fall. Andrew always has a tremendous attitude, and will do anything he can to help the team. Andrew will fights to earn playing time in the lineup this season, while honing his skills to improve for seasons to come.

Nickname: People usually just call me by my last name. (Kratz)
 
When did you start playing tennis and why?
 I started playing tennis around the age of three. My mom put me in a tennis camp when we lived in Florida. Once I got to high school and middle school that is when I started playing competitively.
 
What do you love most about playing tennis?
I love playing tennis because as a player there is always room for improvement in your game due to their being so many shots one can hit. I also enjoy how tennis is such a mental game and the match isn’t over till the very last point.

Food: A well-cooked steak and pasta on the side.
