Senior Year (2019)
Paige is returning for her senior tennis season after taking her junior year off.  She has a brilliant game with strong serve and groundstrokes.  She looks for opportunities to close out points at the net.  Paige will play in the top spot this year in both singles and doubles; she loves tennis and is happy to be competing for Principia.   She is co-captain again this year and is looking forward to leading the team.  We look for her to help Principia bring home the SLIAC championship. 

Sophomore Year (2017)
Paige’s focus and outstanding style of play led her to many quick victories last season. Last year, she earned an NCAA Division III Central Region of  #11.  Currently, Paige is ranked #9 in the Central Region and #35 in the nation for all of NCAA Division III. Paige has steady, hard-hitting groundstroke, as well as consistent and trusty volleys that can end a point quickly. Her well-rounded game play is an aspect that will propel her, as well as the entire team forward. The Principia College women’s tennis team is thrilled to have Paige play #1 singles and #1 doubles and to lead the team as Captain.

Freshman Year (2016)
Paige played #1 singles at Traverse City Central all four years of high school and she competed in the state championships each of those years as well. She won the high school regionals three years. She was captain of her high school tennis team for the past two years.  Principia College women’s tennis team is thrilled to have Paige stepping into the #1 singles and #1 doubles position as a freshman.  Besides her high school tennis competition she also competes in USTA regional and national tournaments.  Currently, Paige is ranked #20 in the NCAA Division III Central Region.  She has an all court game and will look to put more variety into her shot making this year.   Paige is excited to be a part of the Principia College Women’s tennis tradition and will be a force to be reckoned with in the SLIAC conference and in the region.


Fun Facts:

1.) When did you start playing tennis and why?
I started playing tennis when I was 5 years old when my parents took me to some public courts to try hitting the ball. Since then, I've really grown to love the sport!

2.) What do you love most about playing tennis?
I love the competition. It doesn't matter what you are ranked or how old you are, someone is going to spin the racquet and the match begins at 0-0. It's only you on the court battling for every point. If you've put in the time and effort, then you have a chance to win. For me, the feeling of competing and working hard is the best part of tennis.
