Biography

Senior Year (2018-19)
Brody returns to Principia Men’s Tennis continuing his strong contributions to our team victories in the conference tournaments since year one.  Brody also earned SLIAC “Player of the Week” honors during his college career, and finished 1st team SLIAC All-Conference in doubles and 2nd team All-Conference in singles in 2918. Brody brings a levity to this team that lifts the spirits, and his contributions as a doubles specialist at all positions across his career has garnered this team some of the most needed points toward wining the conference championship. In 2016, Brody’s crucial singles match win at the SLIAC tournament earned the 2nd seeded Panthers a crucial point toward its earning a 3rd straight division title.  

Junior Year (2017-18)
Doubles partner to Greg Sovie in 2017 at #1 doubles earning SLIAC first team honors, Mr. Swan also earned SLIAC All Singles honors at the #4 position. In his junior year, Brody again brings an important skill set to the Panthers depth of squad; he will be instrumental in both singles and doubles for us this season.  Swan studying engineering and physics at Principia, hails from Oaklahoma City, where the wind comes sweeping down the plains.

Sophomore Year (2016-17)
Sophomore, and Oklahoman, Brody Swan, returns as a central fixture in the men’s lineup for both singles and doubles. Last year, Brody was instrumental in securing both a singles and doubles win at the SLIAC conference tournament, giving the Panthers 2 needed points toward winning the championship. Swan will certainly continue as a steady contributor to the Panthers.

Freshman Year (2015-2016)
Brody comes to us from a strong high school tennis program at Heritage High in Oklahoma where he finished 2nd in Doubles in the state championships and was a part of the state-championship squad.  He is always encouraging his teammates, and is a great teammate in general.  Look for Brody to make his mark in doubles while improving his singles game as the season progresses.

When did you start playing tennis and why?
I started playing tennis in 6th grade because I genuinely enjoyed the sport and I like the pace that the games are played at.
 
What do you love most about playing tennis?
I love the fact that it is a lifelong sport.
