Sophomore Year (2018-2019)
Esto, as he is affectionately called, is another team mate who returns to men’s tennis after missing last season because of playing Rugby for Principia. He is one of the team’s best cooks along with his Sous Chef Nathanael. Esto like his team mate Elliott, brings great love and support to the entire team. A countryman to Daniel Gomez, he also brings a sense of brotherhood and tremendous balance to the entire team.  Also having competed and earned critical match points toward team wins early this season, Esto will enjoy competing in exhibition matches wherever possible, and in some select matches during the season.  Esto, although a senior this year, has 1 year of athletic eligibility left, so we may see him as part of the men’s program again in season 2020; that is a happy thought.  

Freshman Year (2017-2018)
Esteban joined the team after trying out on week one of spring season; he was a surprise walk on. An international student hailing from Bogota, Columbia, Esto arrived with a determination to prove he could contribute. He did not disappoint. What won him a position on the team was his display of heart, determination, and a willingness to listen; coaches love that.  Welcome to Panther tennis Esto!

When I was a kid because my mom told me to.
