2020 Season (Senior Year)
This is Lauren’s fourth season with the program and what a contribution she has already made, but there is more to come!  Lauren was 1^st Team All-Conference last season and also 3^rd Team All-Region, which should tell you just how amazing a player she is.  She will once again hit in the middle of our line up to give us the offense we need and then set up behind the plate to demonstrate why she is the best catcher in our conference.

2019 Season (Junior Year)
How Lauren isn’t All Conference every year is a mystery.  She is an outstanding catcher, quite possibly the best in the Conference.  She fills her pitchers with confidence when they are throwing to her.  She is also a very dangerous hitter, hitting for average and with power.  She is almost impossible to strike out.  As a catcher she takes control of the games when she should, keeping her teammates aware of their responsibilities and keeping things in the right perspective.  You can watch for her to pick off a few baserunners who aren’t paying attention or are trying to steal a base.  She is fun to watch!

2018 Season (Sophomore Year)
Lauren is with the team for her second season as the starting catcher. Behind the plate Lauren is fearless and reliable—and her quick, accurate throw keeps baserunners from testing their luck. She leads by example and can be counted on to take command of the field in high-pressure situations. On offense, she poses big problems for the opposition. She hits the gaps consistently and has good instincts on the bases. This season, watch out for Lauren’s big hits and key saves behind the plate.

2017 Season (Freshman Year)
This is Lauren’s first season with the team. She comes to us from Principia Upper School where she played four years of high school ball. She has a great knowledge of the game, having played ball since she was very young. She has a great arm, and you can expect to see some great plays by Lauren behind the plate. Lauren will also make a great addition to our offensive line up. She is an extra base hitter, and her bat promises a lot of power.

Fun Facts:

1. When did you start playing softball and why?
I began playing softball at age four and started travel ball at age eight. My dad was a catcher in baseball all through college and softball practices were a fun way to spend time together. You could often catch us on the chapel green playing whiffle ball.

2.  What do you love most about playing softball?
I love the complexity of the game of softball. There are so many details that it takes constant mental focus to succeed.
