Biography
2018-19 Season
Andrew Boyd is hoping to get a top ten record for his main event, the 100-yard backstroke. He is very excited about all the new recruits, and he can’t wait to watch them swim at meets this season. Andrew also enjoys playing basketball on the side; he has a pretty mean crossover, and a solid hook shot, but most people consider him to be a three-point specialist.
2017-18 Season
Andrew Boyd is a junior and lives in Sylvester House on campus. He graduated from San Clemente High School, California in 2015. He is excited to start his third season on the team. He specializes in the 100 backstroke and the 50 and 100 freestyles. He is one of the captains of the team this year, and is very enthusiastic about his remaining 2 seasons on the team.
2016-17 Season
Andrew Boyd is a sophomore in Sylvester House. He is excited to start his second season on the team. He specializes in the 100 yard backstroke and the 50 and 100 yard freestyle. Andrew's favorite part of being on the team is the team dinners after every practice. In his free time, Andrew loves to surf at the beach near his home in San Clemente, California. He is very enthusiastic about his next 3 seasons on the team.
1) When did you start swimming or diving and why?
I started swimming competitively during my freshman year of college.
2) What do you love most about swimming or diving?
My favorite part about swimming is when I get a really solid backstroke start to about mid-pool and I pop up and start whipping it.
