Freshman (2018)
Emme Schaefer is going into her freshman year this fall and is excited to continue her athletic career on the Principia Cross Country team. With a passion for creative writing, she plans on majoring in either English or Mass Communications. In her free time, she enjoys listening to music, going to the beach and spending time with her friends, family, and 2 cats. Emme is eagerly anticipating the start of cross country season, and can't wait to witness all the growth and progress that this season has to offer. 

1.) When did you start playing your sport and why? 
I started running during my freshman year of high school because I wanted to continue with sports and cross country was one that I was curious about. I also had a friend who was on the team and encouraged me to join. 
 
2.) What do you love most about your sport?
I love how cross country is such a team-oriented sport, yet allows each athlete to track their own individual progress. In addition to this, cross country takes you to so many neat new places and gives you the opportunity to travel across the country.
