2020-21 Season
Emmett is a junior from North Carolina. He is looking forward to competing in backstroke and IM events. His favorite practice days are Tuesday kick days. Outside the pool, he is working towards a computer science and political science double major.

2019-20 Season
Emmett is a sophomore from North Carolina. He is looking forward to competing in butterfly and IM events. His favorite practice days are kick days. Outside the pool, he is working towards a computer science major while also taking political science classes.
 
2018-19 Season
Emmett Wainwright is a freshman from North Carolina. Outside the pool, he is working towards a programming major. He is excited for his first season on the team and is looking forward to swimming the IM and Fly events. He can’t wait for competing with the team!

1) When did you start swimming or diving and why?
I started swimming competitively when I was about four years old. Over the years, it has become an important part of who I am. I stopped swimming in middle school, but then swam and played water polo for my first couple years of high school. I joined Principia's team my freshman year.

2) What do you love most about swimming or diving?
I love competing to do the best that I can while being in the water.
