2018 Season (Senior Year)
Aleigha is back as a senior for her third season. Her leadership is integral to the team, as evidenced by her election as a captain this year. With her love and knowledge of the game, Aleigha finds new ways to push herself and her teammates to higher levels. In the infield Aleigha knows what to do, and her confidence undergirds the team in high-pressure situations. On offense, Aleigha consistently finds ways to send her teammates around the bases by hitting into gaps or by laying down sacrifice bunts. This season we look forward to seeing Aleigha leading by example on and off the field.  

2017 Season (Junior Year)
This is Aleigha’s second season with the team. She will be serving as one of our pitchers this year having come off of a good season on the rubber last year. Aleigha keeps the ball low and has developed a nice looking change up that will serve her well this season. Up at the plate, Aleigha generates a lot of power, driving the ball through the gaps and bringing runs home.

2016 Season (Sophomore Year)
We are so pleased to welcome back Aleigha this year, after transferring during her freshman year to the University of Victoria, located in British Columbia, Canada. Aleigha brings many years of experience with the game of softball, and extensive tactical and mechanical knowledge of the game. Aleigha will be a member of the Panther pitching staff, and we will look for her to contribute at first base as well. Her tenacity and drive will play a role in the success of the squad this year. 

Fun Facts:


1.)  When did you start playing softball and why?
The first time I held a bat was when I was 3 years old and demanded to play on my brother’s T-ball team. At the end of the year, they wouldn’t give me a trophy because I wasn’t technically on the team. So, I cried until they gave me one.

2.)  What do you love most about playing softball?
The thing I enjoy most about softball is being a part of a team. We all love and support each other like a family, and we get to spend every day playing the sport that we love.

3.)  What's your favorite......

Movie?
Anything with Meryl Streep, she is my queen.
TV Show? The Good Wife, White Collar, I love Lucy, The Carol Burnett Show, Laverne and Shirley, Keeping Up with The Kardashians… I can’t pick just one.
Food? SUSHI. All of it.
Restaurant? The Keg or Fujiya
Hobbies? Hanging with the crew, softball, going to the beach, eating sushi, road trips, traveling, watching good movies/TV, laughing.
Pro Athlete? Lebron James
Dream Job? Getting to be a teacher and making lots of money.
