2019 Season (Senior Year)
The team will look to Leah to be the workhorse on the mound again this season and serve as a Captain.  Last season she led SLIAC in innings pitched and she might do that again this year.  During this season we should see Leah becoming the Softball Programs all-time leader in games pitched, innings pitched and wins.

She isn’t just a pitcher she plays other positions in the outfield and infield as well and is a key offensive player.  She hits for average and with line drive power and is always a threat to steal.

2018 Season (Junior Year)
Leah is a third-year junior. In the batter’s box, Leah has line-drive power and drives the ball in the gaps. With her power at the plate and speed around the bases, she currently holds the team record for triples. As our primary pitcher, she has spent much of the off-season gaining command of the strike zone and keeping the ball low. We can count on Leah to work hard in the circle and pitch to contact with a solid defense behind her. When she’s not in the pitching circle, you can find Leah making plays at second base.

2017 Season (Sophomore Year)
This is Leah’s second season with the team. Leah had a good season on the pitching rubber last year, and we look forward to seeing her keep the ball low in the zone and add a few more wins to her book. On offence, Leah has a great pop in her bat, driving the ball through the gaps. Leah led the team in triples last season as a freshman, and this season she is due to break the record for career triples. When she is not pitching, keep an eye out for her wheels in the outfield as well as around the bases.

2016 Season (Freshman Year)
Leah joins the team with extensive knowledge of the game of softball. She will be very useful for us as a member of the Panther pitching staff.  When she isn’t pitching, expect to see her in centerfield, utilizing her speed and strong arm. 
 

Fun Facts:

1.  When did you start playing softball and why?
I started playing softball when I was in first grade. I really wanted to try the sport after going to many of my dad’s rec league games. It looked like a fun sport and it was different than what most other little girls were playing at the time.                                                                          

2.)  What do you love most about playing softball?
Softball has continuously pushed me to my limits and I love it for the challenges it creates. From challenging my athletic ability to strengthening my mental game, each practice and each game have caused me to grow as a person.
