2018 Season (Senior Year)
Tanya has been with the team for four years. As the only senior, Tanya’s command of the field anchors the team. As our center-fielder, she tracks the ball instantly and accurately, allowing her to make key plays and incredible diving catches. Up at the plate, Tanya’s role as a slapper has grown throughout her career and keeps the opposition on their toes. This season, we are looking forward to watching Tanya gain command of the zone and exasperate the defense.

2017 Season (Junior Year)
This is Tanya’s third season with the team. She is an aggressive defensive player, sprinting after everything in the outfield and making “ESPN Top 10” worthy diving catches. Tanya has also improved in her slapping game up at the plate over the years. She works hard in the cages, and has added more “weapons” to her repertoire. Tanya will be a valuable force in the batter’s box this season.

2016 Season (Sophomore Year)
Tanya was very helpful for us in centerfield during her freshman year. Her ability to track the ball in the outfield and her determination will be key factors in Principia’s defense. She is the only left handed hitter for the Panther’s, and has continually made quality adjustments in her ability to slap. Tanya is a force to be reckoned with on the bases and we look forward to witnessing her contributions this season. 

2015 Season (Freshman Year)
A freshman who is  coming off a successful 4 year high school career.  She was All-League, All-District and All-Region during her high school career.  “T” established herself as an outstanding center fielder who gets a great jump on the ball, with a strong arm and can cover a lot or territory out there.  She is also capable of playing well at several infield spots.  She switched over to being a left handed slapper in high school and puts plenty of pressure on any defense.

Fun Facts:

1.)  When did you start playing softball and why?I started playing my freshman year in high school because well there’s not much reason because I didn’t want to play but coach Leavoy and coach Frank kept insisting that I would be a great contributor to the team.
 
 2.)   What do you love most about playing softball?
I love laying out for balls and getting dirty.
