Biography

Senior Year (2019-20)
Greg enters his senior year coming off his most successful season on the doubles court with partner Wyatt Dale. They look to build on that success with big wins this season, and will have the opportunity to do so in the coming months. One of Greg's preferred hobbies is attempting to volley shots off the court at such miniscule angles that an electron microscope is needed to measure the angle of its trajectory. He also nears his 100th career win across singles and doubles, which he is expected to reach sometime in late March, if not over spring break. Greg remains the team's leading supporter of the elusive, possibly fictitious character, "Positive Pamela," and hopes that person will visit Hexberg and more frequently this spring.

Junior Year (2018-19)
Greg returns to the team for his third season as a Panther. Greg’s accomplishments last year were invaluable to the Panthers' success. Greg completed the season with the strongest singles record of the year, earning him 1st team SLIAC All-Conference honors for 3rd Singles and 1st Doubles. Greg also was recognized as an ITA All Scholar Athlete for his academic achievements.  A player who plays with incredible heart and determined grit no matter the score, Greg always demonstrates his vital role to the team. Greg was voted as a team captain by his teammates last fall.

Sophomore Year (2017-18)
Greg returns to men’s tennis after securing the SLIAC honors of “Newcomer of the Year” and 1st Team SLIAC All-Conference for 2nd singles and 1st doubles. Greg shared both the #1 and #2 spots last year with his team mate Julian. He will continue to be a driving force for the Panthers in 2018. He comes to Principia from Maggie Valley, North Carolina and his brothers are also strong athletes, one who played professional baseball with the Detroit Tigers. Greg will most certainly hover at the top third of the roster again.

Freshman Year (2016-17)
Greg joins Men’s Tennis as a freshman this year from his home in North Carolina. Greg played USTA juniors there and brings a very developed game to the Panthers. Already a viable part of the roster, as he proved playing at #1 singles and #1 doubles in the lineup during the fall season, Greg will see a lot of match play.
