Biography

Senior Year (2019-20)
Wyatt returns for his final season as a Panther, and as Team Captain of the men’s team. With 2.5 seasons of performance under his belt, SLIAC Newcomer of the Year, Player of the Year, 1st team all-conference singles and 1st team all-conference doubles honors every year, Dale has his sights set on putting his name on the Principia College Mantle as earning a spot in the top twenty all time tennis players statistically.  After losing half a season last year to the pandemic, Wyatt will need to make up for lost opportunities for match wins, but he is poised to take advantage of his final year as an NCAA College Athlete.

Junior Year (2019-20)
Wyatt enters his junior year coming off another solid season at the top of the lineup. He and doubles partner Greg Sovie are looking for statement wins against the Central Region's top teams, and Wyatt will also be counted on to win big matches at #2 singles. Wyatt has accumulated many impressive achievements over the years, including being voted "best son" and "most likely to get married first" (currently single fyi). Wyatt is a vocal supporter of the possibly fictitious character "Sassy Sally," who he hopes to see more often around campus this spring. Wyatt is currently a leading candidate to earn a coveted spot on the back row of the bus on spring break, should the ill-advised actions of previous occupants continue this year.

Sophomore Year (2018-2019)
Wyatt returns for his sophomore year to again be a driving force of strength for the Panthers. His tremendous success as a freshman earning both the SLIAC “Newcomer of the Year” and “Player of the Year” awards, as well as 1st team all-conference for singles and doubles is uncanny; it is something that hasn’t been achieved in the SLIAC for over 10 years. Wyatt returns this year to the challenge of competing just as strong at the #2 Singles position and #1 doubles post. Wyatt’s one handed backhand is a thing of beauty. Wyatt was voted in as “Team Captain” by his team mates last fall.

Freshman Year (2017-2018)
In his first year with the Panthers, freshman Wyatt Dale, from Cherry Hills Colorado, comes with a strong string of success both as a USTA ranked junior player and as a state contender at his high school during his underclassman years. That success carried forward when Wyatt left his home in Colorado to attend Principia Upper School, where he held the #1 singles and #1 doubles roster spots both years. He played in contention both years for the state and district competitions. Wyatt will be instrumental for the Panthers this season.
