2014 Men's Track and Field Roster
Biography
When did you start in the sport, and how did that happen?
I started running for a youth track program in Elementary School. I had a crush on a girl at my school who was participating in it, so clearly I wanted to do it too. My mom was working on invitations for the group, and I saw that she was on the list. In case you were wondering, we became friends. And then she moved to Idaho.
What do you enjoy most about the sport of track and field?
One of the things I love about track and field is being able to challenge your limitations. Track helps you learn that you can conquer any boundary that you set for yourself. It is an amazing feeling when you realize you've overcome a barrier that you felt was difficult to unreachable. Track really teaches you the power of Mind over matter and the unlimited energy you can express.
I also love the relationships that you form with your teammates. The team really becomes your second-family, you all share a special bond as each one of us works toward our individual goals. The relays are the best time to really witness this bond, but also during practices, at meets, and on van rides. The support from your teammates really helps you through any challenge in Track.
