Sophomore Year (2010-2011)
Makaela is returning to the Principia College swim and dive team this year with big goals that she is eager to accomplish. Last year Makaela was awarded the team's "Most Improved" award after a season of consistently breaking personal records. With a focus on sprint freestyle events, she shows dedication to improve more this year. Makaela enjoys pushing others on the team to work hard and enjoys when others do the same for her. She is excited to continue to push past her limits this year.

Freshman Year (2009-2010)
Makaela, "Mak", swam for 3 years in high school and was team captain her senior year. Her good work ethic and determination to improve are great additions to the team. She is excited to get much faster in all her strokes and improve her technique. Her enthusiasm both in and out of the water, show great leadership. She will certainly keep this team on their toes with her witty approach to things! We look forward to great strides from Mak this season.

1.) When did you start playing this sport and why?
    Sophomore year o high school, because I really felt welcome by the girls on the team.

2.) What do you love most about playing this sport?
    The satisfaction of knowing that I worked hard.
