1. When did you start playing tennis and why?

I honestly can’t remember first learning to play tennis. My family all played, so I naturally picked it up, as well. It’s just what you did in our family. In 8th grade I realized tennis and volleyball were played during the same season in high school, and since I was short… I chose tennis. And I’m sure glad I did! From there, I played nearly every day through college.

2. What do you love most about tennis?

I love that tennis is both an individual and a team sport. You get the camaraderie of being a part of a team, as well as the ability to go as far as you can as an individual. I love the mental aspect of the game of tennis. It takes a lot of discipline to stay focused throughout an entire match while also being challenged physically. Plus… who wouldn’t want to run around whacking a fuzzy, yellow ball?! What’s your favorite.... Movie? Notting Hill and The Sound of Music
