Freshman Year (2012)

Kelsy’s strong work ethic, desire to improve her game, and  positive, cheerful attitude make her a strong addition to this year’s team.  Tennis allows Kelsy to practice skills that are useful in everyday life such as patience, consistency, courage and joy. Kelsy played tennis in high school and also competed in some local Canadian tournaments. Kelsy is strong at the net and will make an impact on our doubles team.  Kelsy will improve her skills and mental approach as she grows with this year’s team who provide each other with support, acceptance, love and joy. 

 
1.)  When did you start playing tennis and why?
        I started playing tennis in grade seven, but more recently during high school.  I started playing tennis because my family loves the sport and then continued because I love it and the people, and it helps me grow in all other parts of my life.

2.)  What do you love most about playing tennis?
        It is very much a mental game and is an outstanding opportunity to grow and express this growth with consistency, persistence, patience, and joy.
