Senior Year (2012)
Marianna is co-captain of this year’s team. The team looks to Marianna for her steady and consistent attitude on and off the court.  She is a strong team leader and a spiritual, academic, and emotional support for everyone. Marianna is strengthening her serve and volley to compliment her strong ground strokes. This year Marianna will move up to play # 3 singles and #2 doubles.  She is looking forward to a great season.
 
Junior Year (2011)
Marianna will focus on working hard this year to improve her all court game.  Her goal is to get to the net more often and finish off the points at the net.  Marianna’s strong work ethic will inspire the rest of the team to push themselves as they prepare to win the SLIAC conference and earn their first trip to the NCAA National tournament.

Sophomore Year (2010)
Marianna joins us for her sophomore season with great promise. She has been an asset to the women's team and serves as a great example for everyone in terms of mental toughness. Marianna’s calm demeanor on the court allows her to remain poised even when faced with difficult opponents or circumstances. Her careful tactics keep her opponents guessing and she works hard to stay mentally and physically sharp even during long matches. She keeps a level head at all times which allows her a solid focus when she competes. We expect to see Marianna move up in the line up this year, and we are sure she’ll succeed there. 

Freshman Year (2009)
Marianna will join the starting line-up in singles and/or doubles as a freshman. Many portions of Marianna's game reveal the potential for great success. Increased confidence along with a few technical improvements will make Marianna a solid addition to our team.

1.)  When did you start playing tennis and why?
       Middle school because I liked playing for fun with my friends when I was younger.

2.)  What do you love most about playing tennis?
        I love how free you are when you play and you can forget about everything going on around you.
