What do you love about the Track and Field team?
I love having amazing teammates who support one another unconditionally. Every day at practice it’s a blessing to have this team reminding you that you do have the wings you need to soar!
What do you want to accomplish as an athlete?
I just started track and field a year and a half ago now, and I was a dancer for 15 years before that. So, my goals as an athlete have changed a lot over the years, but the one thing that has remained consistent is my desire to just be better than I was the day before. I hope to grow every day as both an individual and a teammate. I want to be an athlete that embodies kindness, joy, grace, patience, and love.
How do you balance athletics with academics?
I’m still trying to figure that out honestly. It’s happening, but I wouldn’t say it’s necessarily a balance right now. I usually find that going to practice after countless hours of academics becomes a much-needed escape/break, and it helps me refocus to be productive the rest of the evening.
What’s your favorite…..
Professional Athlete? I saw a video of Jason Brown’s 2014 US Figure Skating Championship routine circulating Facebook, and it was Irish dance themed and was by far the best free skate I’ve personally ever seen. So probably him.
