"Principia College's Lauren Wienecke, a junior from Tulsa, Okla. (Jenks), has been named the Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week for the week of September 6-12.  Wienecke, a defender, started and played 90 minutes against Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology and North Park University and 100 minutes against Elmhurst College last week. She was the anchor of the Panthers defense, holding both Rose-Hulman and Elmhurst scoreless until the final minute of each game. Wienecke was also dangerous getting into the attack out of the backfield and provided an important assist against North Park to put the Panthers on the scoreboard first." - SLIAC.org
