VOLLEYBALL - OFFENSIVE
Principia College's Tess Rountree, a freshman from Paso Robles, Calif., has been named the Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week for the week of October 10-16. This marks the second time this season that she has earned the honor.
Rountree, a 6-0 outside hitter, averaged 4.87 kills per set in four matches played last week. She also posted a .366 attack percentage, eight service aces, 53 digs and nine block solo for the week. Rountree had 19 kills and only three errors in 40 total attempts for a .400 attack percentage in Principia's 3-1 win (25-23, 22-25, 25-13, 25-23) over Eureka College. She also added 13 digs for her first of three double-doubles on the week.
Rountree recorded a .421 attack percentage with 17 kills and one error in a 3-0 victory versus Midway College. She added 11 kills, 16 digs and four service aces in a 3-0 win against St. Louis College of Pharmacy. Rountree finished the week with a high of 26 kills and 18 digs in a 3-2 loss (28-26, 19-25, 19-25, 25-21, 8-15) to Oakland City University, and she earned All-Tournament Team honors at the St. Louis College of Pharmacy Invitational.
