Senior (2014)
Tess ended the season last year #3 in the nation for kills per set and #3 for points per set.  She also finished #1 in the SLIAC for kills per set, digs per set, block solos and points.  Tess was #4 in the SLIAC for hitting percentage, #5 for service aces, #8 for total blocks and #10 for blocks per set.  She showed her team what she could do when she combined her natural talent with hard work and a great attitude.  Tess earned quite a few conference honors including five SLIAC Player of the Week awards, and the SLIAC Player of the Year award!  The biggest change was the way that Tess dealt with challenge and adversity, she made sure that she did not get down, and she met each challenge head on!  This hard work paid off and we look to see even more improvement in her mental toughness during her senior season.

Junior (2013)
Tess had a breakthrough spring, and is starting this season several paces beyond where she ended last November. Tess has added a few weapons to her offensive arsenal, and is one of the most consistent passers and defenders the Panthers have.  Her IQ of the game makes her a great on court leader too!

Sophomore (2012)
Tess returns this season as a power hitter with a more rounded hitting repertoire. Last year, she ended her freshman season, ranked number eight nationally for Kills and Points (#1 in SLIAC) and as a First Team All Conference recipient. With a year of outstanding success in collegiate Track and Field in addition to volleyball, Tess has matured into a fine athlete. With her humble attitude and desire to play for her team, she is sure to achieve great things this season.  

Freshman (2011)
Tess is a power outside hitter, with her 6'2" stature and extensive experience in club and school ball. Outside of volleyball, she has competed in the heptathlon at a high level, which translates into strength, speed, and endurance on the volleyball court. She is one of the most polished freshmen Principia Volleyball has seen in a long time and will be put to use with her great passing, hitting, and blocking skills.

When did you start playing this sport and why?
I started playing volleyball in 7th grade on my middle school team.

What do love the most about playing this sport?
I play volleyball because I love sharing victories with all my teammates and friends supporting me. I love the comaraderie and the close bonds I make with each teammate, on and off the court.

What’s your favorite…

Movie: Transformers... who wouldn’t want a robot car?
TV show: Castle! Solving murder.
Food: Strawberries and any variety of fruit.
Restaurant: Chipotle. Oversized burritos that always taste amazing and fill you up.
Hobbies: Walking on the beach and taking long luxurious bubble baths.
Pro Athlete: Serena Williams. How could you not be inspired by her dedication and passion?
Dream job: Pro sky diver.
