Edwardsville, IL - The Principia Men's soccer team lost another close conference battle to archrival Greenville college 2-1 on a rainy Monday evening. The match played at SIU Edwardsville Korte Stadium found two teams in need of a win to have a chance at topping the table in the SLIAC standings.

 A 19^th-minute shot that took a slight deflection and a 33^rd-minute header over the Panthers' defense was what Greenville needed to knock the Panthers' will. A 70^th-minute individual effort by Yaw Danso was enough to give the Panthers a glimmer of hope as they pushed in search of the equalizer. Unfortunately, on this day, it was not to be. Greenville walked away with a well-deserved win. The Panthers will next face Westminister College on Saturday evening at 6:00pm, following the women's match at 4:00pm.
