ELSAH, ILL. -- On Saturday, November 13th the Principia College Panthers welcomed the Lynxs of Lincoln College to their home pool and turned in some great swims. The Lynxs, having a bigger team, took the win 149 to 39. However, the score didn't reflect that the team performed amazingly well, and left the pool with multiple lifetime and season best times.
The Lady Panthers started off well in the first event of the meet - the 200 medley relay. Laura Perry (SO), Joanna Patzwald (FR), Mak Thompson (SO), and Kendall McMurray (FR) led the way with a 2nd place in a time of 2:20.12. Jenna Mehlenbacher (SO) swam a 2:07.74 in the 200 Free, earning first place and a seasonal best by shaving five seconds off her previous time! With a lot of seasonal best and some life time best times, the Principia College women did well against Lincoln. While losing to them in points, the Lady Panthers left the pool knowing that they gave it everything they had.
