Panthers fall by 10 to league leading Gorlocks

Box Score ST. LOUIS, MO. --Saturday afternoon, the Principia College Panthers traveled to St. Louis, Mo. for a conference battle with league leading Webster University. Webster won the first half by 17 and Principia won the second half by seven, for a final score  of 96-86. Webster shot incredibly well in the first half making 20-36 from inside the arc and 9-13 from outside the arc. Principia was able to fight back and make it a game, down by 8 with 2:35 left in the second half. Kenny Sydness led a balanced attacked for the Panthers with a team high 24 points. Justin MacDonald had 16 and Stanley Beal and Colin Angle both had 12.. Naveed Hosseinmardi was a force inside for the panthers, fouling out Webster center Jarod Huskey. The Panthers out rebounded the Gorlocks 42-39. Principia will next host Fontbonne University at hay field house on Tuesday, 1/17. Tip-off will be at 8:00 pm.
